Mia Makela will present her views of the live cinema landscape and show examples of her work through the years. Her performances discuss the essence of live cinematic language, exploring themes of Tarkovsky´s view of pure cinematic language that is contrary to converting literature into visual language. This performance also plays with the relationship between image and music Makela describes as visual music. She will also incorporate ideas on remix, the process of remaking the work of a filmmaker in a live context as an interesting exchange of ideas.
