Interns and Volunteers Inquire Within!

March 24th, 2010 by UnionDocs

UNIONDOCS is looking for the right candidates for a couple internship positions. Please read the descriptions below. Also, if you are simply interested in volunteering at the bar or door for one of our events please send an email to info[at]uniondocs.org and we will be in touch.

Editing and Post-Production Intern:

UnionDocs is looking for a skilled intern to assist with post-production on a weekly series of artist profile videos to be highlighted on our website. Our micro-cinema in Brooklyn has the pleasure of hosting legendary documentary artists each weekend. The artists regularly tell us that the discussions they have with audiences at UnionDocs are among the best they’ve experienced. We are building an archive of these discussions and want to share the content with audiences online. We have a fully outfitted Final Cut editing suite and all the necessary technical knowledge in house. We just need the help of a dedicated intern, who can gain lots of useful experience and exposure through this enjoyable job. Though some training will be available, a robust understanding of Final Cut, Adobe Creative Suite, DVD Studio Pro, and WordPress is preferred. The internship will run April through the end of July and requires an 8-16 hour commitment per week.

Please send resume, letter of interest, and links to online work samples (if available) to info@uniondocs.org.

Administrative Intern

UnionDocs seeks an administrative intern to aid in the daily operations of an exciting non-profit. The intern will be exposed to all levels of management of a small arts space and take an important role in the regular activities of this young but quickly growing organization. The ideal candidate will be an able problem-solver with excellent writing and organizational skills who is seeking a career in arts administration. Knowledge of Google Docs, WordPress, and/or Quickbooks is a plus. This opportunity will provide enormous exposure and access to the NYC documentary scene and connection to a talented community of artists. The internship will run April 1 through the end of August and requires an 8-16 hour commitment per week which will be scheduled in the afternoons on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. There are no stipends available at this time, but college credit can be arranged.

Please send a resume and a letter of interest to info@uniondocs.org.
