Four women – an artist, a new mother, a teenager and a free-spirit- bound by the unique experience of having lost their mothers during adolescence, yet whose paths never cross. That is the premise of The Club, a documentary feature currently in post-production. Co-directed by first-time directors, New York native Carlye Rubin and London-based Katie Green; the film, featuring Rosie O’Donnell and Molly Shannon has raised just over $50k entirely through crowd-funding, including a successful Kickstarter campaign. Being just weeks from a first rough cut, this event is a final push towards completion.
