Pills online Watermark

Beginning this Thursday, June 19th at 8pm, Flavorpill will be hosting an event series featuring lectures, readings, fitness events, and screenings beginning with a showing of the documentary Pills WATERMARK, directed by Jennifer Baichwal and Nick de Pencier. Co-directed by acclaimed large-format photographer Edward Burtynsky, whose work is included in the collections of more than 65 major museums around the world, the documentary explores humanity’s complicated relationship H2O, the stuff that covers 71% of the Earth’s surface and sustains every known form of life. He takes us on a 90-minute global journey that includes the Greenland Ice Sheet, through barren US deltas once bed by rivers, into the Ganges with millions of Indian bathers, and above, inside, and around the Xiluodu, an arch dam six times the size of Hoover. Never proselytizing, he reminds us through stunning images, both up close and framing miles of expanse, that water is more than necessary. It’s primal, essential, and like it or not, as he said after the NYC premiere, “the fate of humanity follows the fate of water.” This evening, Burtynsky introduces the film and answers questions following the screening.

The FREE screening will take place at the Flavorpill office in Soho at 8PM on Thursday, June 19th. Popcorn, beer, chocolate, and other snacks and beverages from Sixpoint, KIND, Vita Coco, Lesser Evil, and Divine, will be provided, and everything is Buy totally free.

A director Q & A will follow the screening. Pills Buy
