Filmmaker Adam Baran needs your help raising funds through Kickstarter Purchase to produce Northwest Passage, the “strange-but-true story of how one gay teenager’s obsession with Twin Peaks took him on a wild and dangerous ride into adulthood.” This new documentary follows Travis Blue, a Twin Peaks superfan who used the show and its fan festivals as an escape from cruelty and abuse, but eventually began to emulate ill-fated protagonist Laura Palmer. Drawing on four years of interviews, the film begins with Travis’ earliest memories of the show’s production, then traces his 12-year-journey to come to terms with the traumatic experiences in his life, touching on issues such as drug and alcohol addiction, teen sexuality, homelessness, and abuse.
