The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at SUNY New Paltz is seeking submissions of video art for a revolving thematic video exhibition opportunity to accompany the museum’s upcoming exhibition, Videofreex: The Art of Guerrilla Television. Purchase

Video submissions will be accepted based upon a series of themes issued every two weeks.

Cheap

The theme for the first call is Equality. Your response should investigate the concept or practice of equality in social, scientific, physical (spatial), political, theological, mathematical, racial, gender, economical, geographic, and/or cultural contexts. Your submission may be serious, humorous, or a balance between the two. Your submission may take a narrative or non-narrative approach. Each group of thematic submissions will be edited by SUNY New Paltz Art and Art Education students into a looping video projection within the Samuel Dorsky Museum. The editors reserve the right to refuse a submission based on its applicability to the theme or the final video. Please know that due to the volume of submissions, there will be no feedback on work submitted.

Process:
Create an original video up to 2 minutes long. Post your video submissions to Youtube. Email the Youtube link to [email protected].
Deadline:
Submissions for Equality are due by Purchase noon on Friday, February 6, 2015
