The company Macktez is offering a $1,000 development grant to encourage creatives to work on summer projects. Finalists will be reviewed by an esteemed panel of judges who hail from a variety of creative fields. This year’s panelists are: Marco Castro Cosio, Philipp Engelhorn, Doug Jaeger, Ruby Lerner, and Cassim Shepard. Applications are evaluated on three criteria: originality, relevance, and conviction. The company approaches technology as a user interface problem and focuses heavily on communication, documentation, and helping the staff to help themselves.
