BAC Grants Director Ethany Uttech will speak and answer questions about the BAC Grants program, and give tips for how filmmakers and local film organizations can submit competitive applications. BAC Film Program Coordinator Nick Shimkin will be on hand to answer questions about the upcoming Scene: Brooklyn screenings in October and will offer a preview of Brooklyn Arts Council’s participation in the 2013 Northside Festival (happening the following Wednesday, 6/19, also at UnionDocs).

As with past BAC filmmaker meet-ups, filmmakers will have the opportunity to submit new work to the Scene: Brooklyn series in person. Filmmakers, producers, or anyone representing films will be able to submit at the withoutabox.com reduced rate for the regular deadline (June 30): $15 for shorts and $25 for features. The submitter must arrive with a check made out to Brooklyn Arts Council.
